THE CARPET CLEANING PROCESS

Step 1: Pre- Inspection

I will inspect your particular areas of concern, as well as note carpet construction and soiling conditions. I will also advise you of any possible, permanent staining.

12 Step Carpet Cleaning ProcessStep 2: Vacuum

I want my clients to receive the absolute best value for their hard earned cash. Therefore, as most of us own and use our vacuum cleaners on a regular basis I give you the opportunity to vacuum your carpet before I arrive.  Vacuuming is important to remove dry soil and debris. If needed and at your request, I will vacuum your carpet. There is an extra charge for this service.

Step 3: Furniture Moving

Please prepare the area for my arrival by removing small items, chairs, collectibles etc from the rooms that I will be working in.  Please also remove any lamps, collectibles or other items from the tops of any furniture that you would like me to move. This will let me know that you would like the piece to be cleaned under.

I will carefully move any sofas, chairs and tables. Larger pieces such as beds, dresses, entertainment centers, china cabinets and other liability prone items are left in place. I will protect furniture with disposable blocks and tabs, as needed.

Step 4: Pre-condition

I will pre treat high traffic areas with a hot oxygenated cleaning solution for more effective soil and dirt removal.  The areas will be allowed to dwell for some time to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Step 5: Pre-Spot

I will pre-spot all spots and stains with the correct cleaning solution  The spots removal solutions will be allowed to dwell for some time to ensure the best chance of removal. Some stains such as bleach, curry, make up, etc may in fact be permanent.  Nobody can guarantee to remove every stain that they encounter, but every effort will be made.

Step 6: Pre-Deodorize

I will pre treat the carpet with a powerful orange based deodorizer.  I will spray this solution onto all areas of the carpet or upholstery.  The areas will be allowed to dwell for some time to ensure maximum odor removal.

Step 7: Pre-Groom

I will groom your carpet with a carpet groomer (depending on the soil level) to further loosen traffic area soiling.

Step 8: Extract & Rinse

Once I’ve loosened the soil, I use my state-of-the-art truck-mounted hot water extraction process with the Rotovac to thoroughly rinse the carpet pile. I will regulate the pressure and heat so that the carpet is not overly wet. I rinse with specially treated water at temperatures ranging between 60-235 degrees, depending on the fiber content and soiling condition. This step always improves your air quality by removing the pollens, pollutants and dust mites, etc, from the carpet.

Step 9: Neutralize

I rinse every carpet that I clean with soft water and a PH balanced product so that there is no sticky residue left behind. (This is a very important step, often overlooked by other carpet cleaners.)

Step 10: Post Spot Treatment

If any spots do not come up during the cleaning process, we will use specialty spotting techniques, after the thorough cleaning. This excludes permanent stains that our service technician identified in the pre-inspection.

Step 11: Post Deodorize

I will re-apply deodorizer to any areas that were of concern.  My 12 step cleaning process will remove most basic odor problems.  I have special solutions for problem odors such as cat urine that are not included in my basic service, these are available for an additional fee.

Step 12: Post groom

I will groom the carpet as needed to leave an attractive finish and to ensure the fastest possible drying time. Scotchgard will be applied if desired at an extra cost.
